MEET THE TEAM

FAEN is a Norwegian swear word that can’t be translated directly, but it originates from a word meaning Satan. This is not why we are named Faen Film, we just like the way it sounds. We really love making films, and that’s why we do it.

Faen Film is an Oslo & Copenhagen based production company. It started in 2020, and since then we have had the pleasure of working with major clients both national, and international. We are an award winning production company, with awards including Spellemann, Bergen International Film Festival and Grønnskjerm.

  • Jonas is the owner, producer, and managing director of Faen Film. If you ask Jonas to fix something, you’ll get exactly what you need—and then some. He loves solving problems. With broad experience as a producer and project manager across music videos, feature films, commercials, and TV series, no challenge is too big. Jonas will always be a creative support and a reliable problem-solver. He’s often the realist in the room, yet he’s the first to facilitate the madness that eventually turns into art. As Jonas likes to say, "I’ll take care of it."

  • Nicolai is co-owner and director at Faen Film. A Danish energy bomb—it’s impossible not to fall in love with him. Any situation gets better when Nicolai is around. He always has a smile on his face, even though he’s heard Team Antonsen’s "Kamelåså" joke every single day in the eight years he’s lived in Norway. As a director, Nicolai gets the absolute best out of everyone he works with, whether it's the crew or the actors. He’s a visionary and a storyteller who effortlessly transforms thoughts into images. Nicolai has rightfully been awarded for his work, but what drives him is telling stories that truly resonate. On set, he’s engaged and always chasing the perfect moment in every scene. And when he gets it—as Nicolai likes to say, "Fucking fedt, man!"

  • Alexander is co-owner and cinematographer at Faen Film. Some people have that X-factor—Alex is one of them. He often lets his images speak for themselves but isn't afraid to be a strong voice in the creative process. For a director, there’s nothing better than a cinematographer who offers new perspectives—and they turn out to be even better than you imagined. That’s Alex. His unique visual touch shines through in everything he shoots, something critics, juries, and our clients have all appreciated. On set, Alex takes an idea and a frame and makes it just that little bit better through craftsmanship and camera work. As Alexander likes to say, "How about this?"
